About

Twenty years where marketing, partners, and sales meet.

I'm Dr. Jeremy Roberts. I build partner channels, take products to market, and help close the deals that follow. I'm based in San Antonio, Texas, where I also teach and serve on civic boards.

Dr. Jeremy Roberts

The short version

One of my first companies was Cavalcade Productions, a concert promotion business I started while I was still finishing my BBA at St. Mary's University. For four years I brought rap, Latin, salsa, and rock shows to San Antonio, negotiated with talent agencies and sponsors, and ran crews of up to fifty people an event. On the side I started helping local businesses get seen, back when most of them didn't have a website yet. I didn't know it then, but that was the start of everything I do now.

In 2005, Hurricane Katrina changed the plan. I evacuated New Orleans the day before my MBA classes started at Tulane and spent the fall semester at Boston University, where I took eighteen credit hours and won the school's PharmaSim marketing simulation contest with a record score. When Tulane reopened, I came back and took twenty seven hours across the spring and summer. I also went to work as a student consultant for New Orleans businesses the storm had torn apart, including a telecom company we helped hold on to 70 percent of its market, and I was a finalist in the Freeman School's Rebuilding New Orleans contest.

That year is where I found my calling. Watching good companies fight their way back showed me what business is really for: building things that help people recover, grow, and keep going. It's also the root of the idea I still teach and live by, that one moment can change a day, one day can change a life, and one life can change the world.

After the MBA I landed at Rackspace early, before the company scaled. I was the team lead for demand generation while Rackspace grew 27 percent year over year, and with a short staff, paid search, SEO, media buying and negotiation, analytics, and the handoff to sales and business development all ran through me. From there I built programs from a blank page: enterprise social media marketing, co marketing and MDF programs with partners like Dell, Microsoft, and F5, and a hosted SharePoint business that grew from zero to twenty million dollars in three years. At Harland Clarke I led the team behind thirteen ecommerce brands and grew online revenue 20 percent in a market that was shrinking, on a smaller budget.

Then came the data and platform years. At IBM I led worldwide product marketing for customer analytics and launched Universal Behavior Exchange, along with the business partner program that took it to market. At Acxiom I built partner marketing for the Partner Sales division and drove go to market with Google, Facebook, American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. At Adobe I spent five years in the Strategic Value Group, where I was part of the team that built Adobe's first value model, carrying a fifteen million dollar quota and selling alongside the systems integrators and consulting firms that make enterprise deals happen.

Alongside those roles, I founded Left Brain + Right Brain in 2017 as my consulting practice. Since leaving Adobe in 2023, it's where I take on fractional CMO, go to market, and market entry work for technology and services companies across North, Central, and South America. That same year I completed my Doctor of Business Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word, with research on how digital transformation can close the financial inclusion gap.

I teach because the classroom keeps me sharp, and I serve on boards because I believe in this city. Both make me better at the work.

Outside the work

Home base is San Antonio.

Off the clock, my time goes to my family. I'm always at the gym, lifting and training in Brazilian jiu jitsu, because I take my health seriously. I love riding my motorcycle, and I'm a die hard San Antonio Spurs fan.
